We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (CPCU) / Telemetry for a 13-week contract in Chico, California. The RN will provide care to medium- to high-acuity cardiovascular patients, including patients requiring pre- and post-operative cardiac care, telemetry monitoring, and progressive care nursing.

The unit serves adult through geriatric patients with conditions such as acute myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, post-pacemaker care, and pre/post coronary artery bypass and carotid endarterectomy procedures. The RN may float to other units, including Medical-Surgical, as needed.

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to medium- and high-acuity cardiovascular patients in a progressive care and telemetry environment.

• Perform ongoing patient assessments, monitor cardiac rhythms, identify changes in clinical condition, and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.

• Care for patients with cardiac diagnoses and those requiring pre- and post-operative cardiovascular procedures and monitoring.

• Administer medications and treatments while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.

• Maintain accurate Epic documentation and float to other nursing units, including Medical-Surgical, based on staffing and patient care needs.

• Minimum 2 Years of Critical Care Registered Nurse Experience Required.

• Current, Active California Registered Nurse License Required.

• Current BLS/BCLS Certification Required.

• Current ACLS Certification Required.

• Epic EMR Experience and Successful Completion of Prior Travel Nursing Assignments Required; Ability to Float to Other Units Including Medical-Surgical Required.

This contract opportunity is suited for an experienced cardiac progressive care or critical care RN comfortable managing higher-acuity telemetry patients and floating based on clinical needs.
