It is a peaceful, scenic, community-oriented area with an abundance of amenities to suit every taste.**JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS**Scheduled Weekly Hours: TBDPRN position - No call required - *shifts can vary from day, mid, and/or evening and weekends***Summary of the Job:** Responsible and accountable for a group of patients during a designated time frame and to provide care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation, and other health care team members. The Perioperative RN is accountable for planning & directing the care of every patient undergoing operative & invasive procedures. The Perioperative RN directs & supervises the surgical team members.**Minimum Qualifications:**Graduate from a NLN accredited school of nursing; current LA RN license; BLS required or obtained during orientation; ALS required within 6 months of hire; able to work flexible shifts and take call according to unit specific standards. Current BLS and ALS (Advanced Life Support) certifications through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross. The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off. One year Surgery RN experience required but minimum of two years’ Surgery RN experience preferred. Acute Care facility, surgery experience preferred. CNOR Certification preferred. The Perioperative RN must be available in-house within 30 minutes when on call. **Physical Demands:** Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 50 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
