Clinic Coordinator

The Department of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology is accepting applications for its Clinic Coordinator position.

Examples of duties include:

• Planning, coordinating, and participating in CMD Practicum.
• Coordinating and providing clinical supervision.
• Directing student clinicians in all domains of professional clinical practice; appropriately assessing student learning and performance.
• Maintaining students clinical clock hours in Typhon.
• Initiating and maintaining community partnerships.
• Identifying and securing clinical sites and/or clinical partnerships/educators for practicum experiences.
• Appropriately communicating to faculty and program director on student information.
• Teaching 1 clinical course per semester; designing, coordinating, and implementing clinical simulations.
• Using learning assessment information to improve teaching and curriculum.
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives to meet program and institutional goals.
• Working collaboratively with CMD Faculty; advising students on clinical performance; supporting and exemplifying the University's core values.
• Actively engaging in interprofessional collaboration activities.
• Upholding and enforcing student and clinical supervisor manual policies and university policies/procedures.
• Maintaining clinical documentation.

Typical qualifications include:

• Master's degree or doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology and/or Audiology with demonstrated clinical expertise.
• Three years of experience as a university or external clinical supervisor for speech-language pathology students strongly preferred.
• Licensure and Certification:
• Candidates will hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association.
• Candidates will also have (or be eligible to obtain) Mississippi licensure in Speech-Language Pathology and/or Audiology.
