About the Role:

As a Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing and producing high-quality meals that meet the standards of our establishment. Your work will directly impact customer satisfaction by ensuring food is prepared safely, efficiently, and with attention to detail. You will collaborate closely with the kitchen team, including the Head Chef, to maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to health and safety regulations. This role requires physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform tasks such as climbing stairs and moving objects within the kitchen environment. Ultimately, your contribution will help create a positive dining experience that encourages repeat business and enhances the reputation of our community culinary services.

Minimum Qualifications:

• One-year proven experience in food preparation and cooking in a professional kitchen setting.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English to understand recipes and communicate with team members.
• Manual dexterity and physical ability to handle kitchen tools and equipment safely.
• Capability to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• State certified in Safe Food Handling and Sanitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working under the supervision of a Head Chef or in a similar culinary leadership environment.
• Familiarity with a variety of cooking techniques and cuisines.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
• Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and food production planning.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
• Manage inventory by moving and storing food supplies and ingredients appropriately.
• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate meal preparation and service.
• Stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as climbing stairs and lifting kitchen equipment.
