Oncology/BMT RN - Days

Location: Dallas, TX

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 7A-7P

Job Description: The Oncology/BMT RN plays a critical role in providing high-quality care to patients undergoing treatment and procedures related to blood and marrow transplantation. The nurse must utilize their advanced assessment skills, with relevant experience in oncology, and chemotherapy certification, while ensuring patient safety and optimal care delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct bedside shift report and safety rounds.
• Manage a patient-focused team to maintain a no pass zone.
• Administer chemotherapy and monitor patient vitals efficiently.
• Perform infrequent procedures such as bone marrow biopsies, as needed.
• Ensure proper documentation using Meditech system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Must have oncology experience and ONS chemotherapy certification.
• Valid BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Preferred: BMT experience and telemetry reading capabilities.
• Competence in the administration of chemotherapy is a must.
