Job Description As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver in Columbus, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a technology‑focused data center location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for people and critical operations. This driving post requires a valid driver's license. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and use teamwork and integrity to deliver reliable, innovative service in Allied Universal's caring culture. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $21.79 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Tue 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Wed 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Thur 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or delivery personnel at a technology infrastructure location by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate. Conduct regular and random patrols of data center facilities, access points, parking areas, utility spaces, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity. Monitor access control points, visitor activity, alarms, and surveillance systems, following established procedures for access verification and incident reporting. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as directed. Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required logs related to patrols, access activity, incidents, and security‑related observations. Minimum Requirements A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
