Environmental Aide I - PT (3:00pm-11:00pm) CMC

Part‑Time Environmental Aide I (Housekeeping) Atlantic Health Chilton Medical Center seeks a Part‑Time Environmental Aide I (Housekeeping) for the Environmental Services Department. Required hours: 3:00PM – 11:00PM , including weekends. Starting rate: $18.50/hr . Essential Function / Responsibilities Utilize appropriate cleaning equipment in cleaning all nursing units, patients' rooms, and other designated facility areas, including floors, woodwork, sills, vents, sinks, furniture, etc. Follow departmental policies and procedures on cleaning, disinfecting and deodorization. Cleardown major spills when necessary and respond to pages promptly. Cleans and restocks housekeeping carts at the end of each shift. Remove all trash and linen within the hospital. Follow directions carefully for cleaning solution preparations and handling of bio‑hazard materials. Make periodic checks for environmental needs in the assigned area. Report any repairs to maintenance. Stay abreast of changes in environmental services by attending monthly department meetings. Handle moderately complex issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher‑level staff. Position includes cleaning of bodily fluids. Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements HS Diploma or GED/Equivalent required or will obtain within 1 year of employment. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Solid work history a must. Need to meet the fit testing requirement. Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs. Relevant Experience Prior experience in housekeeping in either a hospital or institutional setting or a related field preferred. Prior floor‑care experience preferred. About the Team The Environmental Services Department is responsible for cleaning and disinfection of common areas, outpatient areas, procedural areas, and patient rooms, including bathrooms, furniture, carpet and hard‑surface floors, vents, electronics and patient equipment. The team follows sanitizing processes required by multiple regulatory agencies and collaborates with the Infection Prevention and Quality Departments to maintain consistency across all sites.
