- Drive expansion into rapid whole-exome sequencing, genome-scale assays, and emerging genomics technologies.
- Evaluate and implement novel methodologies such as RNA sequencing, long-read sequencing, methylation profiling, spatial approaches, and multi-omics technologies as clinically and scientifically appropriate.
- Collaborate with bioinformatics teams to ensure robust data analysis, interpretation, and reporting pipelines.
Research and Translational Integration
- Support and develop translational research studies leveraging the institutional biobank and molecular platforms.
- Partner with clinician-scientists and investigators on investigator-initiated and grant-funded research programs.
- Contribute to scholarly activity, including publications, presentations, and participation in national or international consortia.
- Facilitate responsible integration of research assays into clinical workflows when appropriate.
Other Non-Essential Functions
- In partnership with BMAP’s Collaborating Research Scientist and Medical Director in mentoring a team of laboratory manager(s) and research laboratory technologists.
- Promote a culture of scientific rigor, collaboration, quality, and continuous improvement.
