Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)Community Healthcare of Texas has provided hospice and palliative care services since 1996. Our mission is to provide compassionate care for individuals living with serious illnesses while supporting their loved ones who care for them.Community Healthcare of Texas is currently recruiting for a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA).POSITION SUMMARYProvides personal hygiene care to hospice patients following the patient's Plan of Care.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSProvides personal hygiene care to patients according to the individual Plan of Care, such as bathing and shampooing.Deliver routine medical supplies as needed to patients.Observe and report any changes in the patient's condition to the Nurse/Care Manager.Demonstrate respect and understanding of the philosophy, mission, and service standards of CHOT, and provide excellent customer service.Successfully complete 12 hours of in-service training annually.May assist the patient with transfers as needed.Provide compassionate companionship to patients while delivering services.Depending on the census, assignments may include patients in the field or in inpatient units.POSITION QUALIFICATIONSHS Degree or GED requiredProof of State Certification - Certified Nurse Aide required1 year of direct patient care experience requiredMust demonstrate skills and written competency before working independently with the patientBENEFITSCompetitive PayGenerous Paid Time Off ProgramsCompany-provided Life Insurance, Short- and Long-Term DisabilityMedical, Dental, VisionFlexible Spending Account and Health Savings AccountEmployee Assistance ProgramRetirement Savings PlanLease Car ProgramMileage reimbursement for work-related travelReasonable Accommodations StatementTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
