Maintains professional standards of conduct and ethics as outlined in department expectations and professional organizations. Provides education to patients, families, caregivers and other health professionals. Assists in the supervision of other staff members, students and volunteers, as appropriate. Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to patients'/caregivers' rights, as identified within the institution.Major Position Responsibilities:Maintains a safe, clean working environment, including unit based safety and infection control requirements.Professional caregiver who performs patient assessmentDevelops, implements and evaluates effectiveness of an interdisciplinary plan of care for patient populations with various diagnoses.Maintains professional standards of conduct and ethics as outlined in department expectations and professional organizations.Provides education to patients, families, caregivers and other health professionals.Assists in the supervision of other staff members, students and volunteers, as appropriate.Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to patients'/caregivers' rights, as identified within the institution.Qualifications:RN Experience: Two (2) years of critical care experience in a setting such as ICU, ED, PACU as a Registered Nurse required only if no previous experience in Interventional Radiology (IR) or Cardiac Cath Lab within the past 5 years.Must be able to scrub and circulate in IR and/or Cath Lab procedure area.Must be able to take call and able to do heavy lifting and pushing. Must be able to wear protective lead apron and thyroid shield.Provide nursing support for non-invasive cardiology and radiology services.RN Transitional Experience: One year of full-time experience in an acute care hospital (all departments; with exception to Surgery). Surgery department would consider one-year full-time experience in a surgery center.Must be able to scrub and circulate in IR and/or Cath Lab procedure area.Must be able to take call and able to do heavy lifting and pushing. Must be able to wear protective lead apron and thyroid shield.Provide nursing support for non-invasive cardiology and radiology services.Licenses: Current California RN License, required.Certifications: Current BLS required upon hire; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider.
