Telecommunications/Network Technologist III

DHSS/Administration

The Telecommunications/Network Technologist III serves as a senior technical leader within the DHSS Telecommunications Infrastructure unit, responsible for designing, implementing, and managing on-premises and cloud infrastructure including storage, servers, virtualization, networking, and disaster recovery. The role involves planning complex network initiatives, developing engineering standards, coordinating with vendors, and providing strategic technical guidance on modernization and infrastructure improvements. Key qualifications: At least two years of experience planning, designing, and installing data networks for telecommunications needs including bandwidth, protocols, and transmission lines Six months of experience in information technology project management including planning, scheduling, and coordination Knowledge of developing strategic business plans for data network expansion with feasibility and cost-effectiveness evaluation Experience with on-premises and cloud infrastructure administration including SAN/storage, virtualization, and backup/disaster recovery #J-18808-Ljbffr
