Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients across the full lifespan — newborn through geriatric — utilizing knowledge of age-related growth and development to individualize the nursing process
• Deliver care in a high-volume emergency department (26,000+ visits per year) within a newly renovated, 20-bed unit equipped with state-of-the-art monitors and communication devices
• Maintain a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio while adapting quickly and effectively to stressful and rapidly changing clinical situations
• Collaborate closely with pre-hospital, in-hospital, and trauma teams to ensure seamless continuity of emergency care in a Trauma Level III facility
• Document all patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
• Must be comfortable managing drips and ventilators

Required Qualifications

• Active New Hampshire RN license or compact RN license — must be submitted with profile
• Active BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
• Active ACLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
• Active PALS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
• Minimum 2 years of current, hands-on Emergency Department experience required (more experience given first consideration)
• Prior travel nursing experience of at least 3 months required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Candidates must have their own personal vehicle for this assignment
• Availability to work holiday blocks as scheduled — travelers are expected to work at least two of the following blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving Day/Friday after and weekend after; Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and weekend after; New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and weekend after
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Experience working in a high-volume or trauma-level emergency department
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
