Volunteer Programs Manager - Healthcare Engagement

Job Summary Manager Volunteer Services responsible for managing volunteer activities across all Corewell Health locations, including recruiting, screening, interviewing, orienting, counseling, and ensuring volunteers are matched to appropriate assignments. Essential Functions Collaborate with managers and staff to assess needs and develop volunteer programs consistent with Corewell Health goals. Recruit, screen, interview, orient, and counsel volunteers. Coordinate with administrative staff to complete all application steps and match volunteers to assignments. Maintain complete documentation of volunteer records, including applications, orientations, educational programs, evaluations, recognition, and counseling. Develop departmental policies, procedures, forms, and processes in collaboration with leadership. Promote volunteer programs through community engagement, speaking engagements, receptions, and other public relations activities. Coordinate the annual volunteer recognition event and other supporting events. Develop and present classes for volunteer orientation and ongoing instruction. Collect and analyze data from surveys to determine effectiveness of volunteer service programs. Demonstrate effective leadership skills in delegation, organization, and coordination across Corewell Health departments. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience. Minimum of 3 years of experience managing volunteer workers. Recent work experience in a healthcare setting.
