Work Environment\n

The position is fully remote, allowing for a flexible work schedule from the comfort of your home. Operating Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, this role may require some adaptability in your hours to meet the unique needs of our patients. Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments that are culturally sensitive, identifying patients' unique experiences and challenges.

  • Develop personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to each individual’s background and needs.
  • \n
  • Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, promoting resilience and a strong sense of well-being among our patients.

  • Work collaboratively with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to provide coordinated, holistic care.

  • Provide crisis intervention and support during emergencies, ensuring immediate and effective assistance for those in critical need.

  • Educate patients and their families about their mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with all legal and ethical standards.

  • Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing cultural competency training to enhance team collaboration and patient care.

  • Stay abreast of current research, trends, and best practices in the mental health field, particularly those that pertain to culturally competent care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our practice is focused on providing services to a diverse patient population that includes individuals from various cultural, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds. You will work closely with clients from underserved communities, including ethnic minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and recent immigrants, ensuring each receives tailored care that respects their cultural context and personal story.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.
  • \n
  • In-depth understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches.
  • \n
  • Proven experience delivering therapy, both individually and in groups, using culturally responsive strategies.

  • Strong crisis intervention skills and the capacity to manage high-stress situations with composure.
  • \n
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, demonstrating a knack for building trusting relationships with diverse clients.
  • \n
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management.
  • \n
  • A staunch commitment to maintaining professional boundaries, adhering to ethical guidelines, and respecting patient confidentiality.

  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team setting.

Preferred Experience\n

  • Experience working with multicultural populations, particularly those facing barriers related to accessibility and stigma in mental health care.
