Seasonal Travel RN - Pediatrics (Night Shift)

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM | Every other weekend required | Projected Start: November 16, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed pediatric step down unit managing a mixed patient population including spinal fusions, chest tubes, and high-flow oxygen patients
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:3 for step down patients and 1:4 for basic care patients
• Perform and assist with unit procedures including NGTs, Foleys, TP tubes, PIVs, phlebotomy, and occasional LPs
• Collaborate with charge nurses, PCTs, and Clinical Nurse Coordinators to deliver team-based, patient-centered care
• Document and manage patient care using the Meditech EMR system
• Maintain current BLS and NRP certifications throughout the duration of the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with a minimum of 1 year of current, recent Pediatric RN experience
• Current BLS certification required
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Demonstrated comfort and competency with high-flow oxygen, spinal fusion patients, and chest tube management
• Willingness to work night shift; first-contract travelers will not be placed on day shift
• Every other weekend availability required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with Meditech EMR
• Multiple prior travel nursing contracts; candidates with extensive travel experience will be given first consideration
• Experience in a fast-paced pediatric acute or step down care environment
