At the Ideal Tridon Group, connections arent just what we maketheyre the heart of everything we do./ppThe Toolmaker A will be responsible for the fabrication, maintenance, repair, and modification of tools, dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures used in manufacturing processes./ppWe are seeking a 3rd Shift Tool Maker to join our team at Ideal Tridon Group!/ppShift: 3rd 11:00pm - 7:00am/ppSchedule: Sunday -Thursday/ppHourly Range: $35.10 - $40.04 + $1.00 Shift Differential/ppDuties and Responsibilities:/pulliFabricates, maintains, repairs, and modifies various types of tooling, including molds, dies, jigs, and fixtures, to support production needs./liliSets up and operates manual and CNC machine tools, such as lathes, mills, grinders, and EDM machines, to perform machining operations on tooling components./liliConducts precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure dimensional accuracy and adherence to specifications./liliPerforms preventive maintenance tasks on tooling to ensure optimal performance and longevity./liliTroubleshoots and diagnoses issues with tooling and implements corrective actions to resolve problems and minimize downtime./liliMaintains accurate documentation of tooling maintenance, repair, and modification activities./liliPerforms other related duties as assigned./li/ulpRequired Skills and Abilities:/pulliProficiency in the fabrication, maintenance, and repair of various types of tooling, including molds, dies, jigs, and fixtures./liliExperience in setting up and operating manual and CNC machine tools, such as lathes, mills, grinders, and EDM machines./liliPrecision measurement skills and ability to use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments./liliStrong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues with tooling./liliEffective communication skills./liliAttention to detail and ability to work with high precision and accuracy./liliKnowledge of safety regulations and procedures in a manufacturing environment./liliAbility to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet production schedules./liliProficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents and specifications./li/ulpEducation and Experience:/pulliHigh school diploma or equivalent education and experience required./liliThree years of experience in toolmaking, including fabrication, maintenance, and repair of tooling components required./liliWell-rounded experience in metal stamping, training in the machine shop, and Toolroom practices (functions usually acquired through a formal Toolmaker apprenticeship or a minimum of 4 to 6 years equivalent Toolroom training or on-the-job experience in a metal stamping Toolroom environment with a formal machine shop or previous machine tool education)./li/ulpPhysical Requirements:/pulliProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer./liliProlonged periods of standing, walking, and/or sitting and reaching with hands and arms./liliMay occasionally climb stairs, drive vehicles, and operate equipment./liliMust be able to lift 80 pounds at a time./li/ulpAn Equal Opportunity Employer/ppWe do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, genetic information, or any other status protected by law or regulation.
