Pay Rate: $34/hr on W2

Schedule:

Friday – Sunday | 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM

Or

Friday – Sunday | 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM 

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Chemical Technician II to support chemical processing and reagent manufacturing operations for a leading life sciences organization. The ideal candidate will have experience working in laboratory production, chemical manufacturing, reagent preparation, or industrial processing environments while following safety and quality standards.

This role is responsible for producing high-quality reagents, handling regulated waste, monitoring inventory through ERP systems, and supporting manufacturing operations in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce and process chemical reagents used in global manufacturing operations
• Utilize ERP systems to manage inventory, create work orders, transfer materials, and maintain production records
• Dispense, mix, store, and transport chemicals following established SOPs and safety guidelines
• Handle regulated and hazardous waste in compliance with environmental and safety regulations
• Participate in Hazardous Material Spill Response activities
• Gather, analyze, and interpret production and scale data
• Troubleshoot production, quality, and equipment issues as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to GMP/safety protocols
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional manufacturing and processing teams

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, STEM field, or related discipline
  OR
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant chemical processing, laboratory production, manufacturing, or industrial experience
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a physically demanding production environment
• Comfortable working with chemicals, hazardous materials, and PPE/respirator requirements
• Ability to lift/move heavy materials as required (Exert 100 lbs. of force occasionally and/or 50 lbs. of force frequently)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field
• Experience mixing bulk chemicals and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment
• Knowledge of chemistry calculations and unit conversions
• Experience working with ERP systems in manufacturing or laboratory settings
• HAZWOPER, RCRA, or Forklift/Powered Industrial Truck certifications are a plus

  • RCRA Awareness Certification
  • Powered Industrial Truck Certification
• Must be medically cleared for respirator use
