Annual Salary $64,790 to $94,711 Appointments from the eligible list are made at the lowest pay grade. Per diem appointments from the eligible list are hired at an hourly rate of $31.03. The majority of positions available are per diem. A 5.5% bonus may be paid to employees in full‑time Licensed Vocational Nurse positions upon completion of three years or more of aggregate service in the Medical Services Division. An 8.25% night shift differential bonus is applied for night work. Notes Initial appointments are anticipated to be made on a per diem basis. Annual salary is at the start of the pay range. Qualifications Possession of a valid and current California license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. Possession of a certificate from the State of California for intravenous therapy and blood withdrawal. Possession of a current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider CPR card. Process Notes At the time of appointment, candidates must submit verification of their current, valid certificate from the State of California for intravenous therapy and blood withdrawal and their American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider CPR card. One year of full‑time paid professional licensed vocational nurse work experience drawing blood, performing EKGs, and administering medication and injections is highly desired.
