We are seeking a Class A driver for our local regional routes, based in West Sacramento, CA. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of commercial driving experience, a clean driving record, and be able to comply with all safety and regulatory requirements. This position involves driving assigned vehicles across the local region with occasional overnight stays, operating as a solo driver. We are offering excellent pay plus benefits such as medical/dental/vision/life insurance, 401(k) holiday incentive and Paid Time Off.
Responsibilities
- Drive assigned routes across the region
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
- Maintain accurate driving logs and required documentation
- Effectively manage time to meet delivery schedules
- Plan routes efficiently to maximize productivity
- Adhere to background check and operational compliance requirements
- Communicate clearly and resolve driving-related issues promptly
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience in commercial truck driving
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Proven experience in commercial vehicle operation
- Strong route planning and navigation skills
- Ability to conduct vehicle inspections and basic maintenance
- Strict adherence to safety compliance standards
- Excellent time management abilities
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a solo driver on regional routes
- Familiarity with West Coast route logistics and conditions
- Willingness to undertake occasional overnight travel
