Registered Nurse - Critical Care Stepdown Schedule Night Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Job Description We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for our Critical Care Stepdown unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients in a step-down critical care setting. This role involves frequent interaction with a diverse patient population recovering from complex medical procedures. Responsibilities Manage and administer cardiac drips and monitor patient responses. Assist in the care of patients with chest tubes and other critical interventions. Perform assessments and monitor vitals for patients recovering from heart surgery, strokes, and respiratory failures. Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care. Utilize Baxter IV pumps and manage occasional epidural pumps as needed. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Active RN license with a minimum of 1 year of nursing experience. Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
