Weekends: Every other
Unit: 40-bed general ED, combined adult/peds
Requirements: 2 years experience, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
Ratios: Acuity-based, typically 1:4–1:5+
Skills: Triage, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, IV/phlebotomy, central lines, sedation, vasopressors, BiPAP/CPAP, vents, ABGs
Patient Population: Neonates through geriatrics
Common Cases: Sepsis, stroke, MI, pneumonia, psych, abdominal pain, UTI, OB/GYN, peds, ortho, neuro
Procedures: Moderate sedation, restraints as needed, vent management, TPA stroke
Support: IV team, RT, radiology, social services, rapid response, pharmacy, unit secretary
Travel Experience: Not required
