Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse position in a high-volume, high-acuity facility with a diverse patient population. The role involves providing high-risk obstetric care to postpartum patients following delivery, with responsibilities including management of postpartum hemorrhage, magnesium sulfate therapy, and other postpartum treatments. This position offers the choice of a 13 or 26-week assignment with flexible scheduling options.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Valid license (compact license accepted), BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), at least 2 years of high-risk obstetric care experience, proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system, ability to handle high acuity cases and manage supply surge, and experience managing postpartum patients.
• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Candidates must have experience with magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin, Foley management, postpartum hemorrhage care, and substance withdrawal management. JADA experience is preferred. Candidates should be capable of managing a census surge and handling high-acuity postpartum patients.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-risk obstetric care and familiarity with EPIC system.
• Certifications Required: BLS, NRP
• Shielded areas: Candidates may be expected to float between nearby sister facilities; refusal to float may lead to termination of contract.
• Submittal Requirements: Must include responses to prior work at a Providence facility, references covering at least 6 months within the last 3 years, and verification of license and experience.
