About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Surgical ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating (7A/7P) Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Trained and worked in a dedicated Open-Heart Unit receiving patients directly from the OR. License: RN License; BLS required. Certifications: ACLS preferred; Critical Care Certification preferred; trauma course preferred. Must-Have: Current experience with recovery of post-op cardiac surgery patients in an ICU setting, Vent, CRRT, Swan, epicardial wires/pacemakers, vasoactive gtts titration, level 1 IABP, ECMO. Description: This unit provides care for patients who are recovering from cardiac surgery, cardiac transplantation, lung transplantation, the placement of ventricular assist devices, and other complex procedures. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1 or 1:2. Candidates must have experience in critical care and be able to work with advanced therapeutic devices and protocols. The position allows for the development of specialized skills in a highly technical environment. Team collaboration and effective communication are essential for providing high-quality patient care. Applicants should be prepared for a fast-paced and demanding workplace.
