Emergency Room (ER) Nurse

We are seeking skilled Emergency Room (ER) Nurses to provide high-quality patient care in fast-paced clinical environments. As an ER Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering effective nursing care to a diverse population of patients with varying acuity levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical care and interventions to patients in critical situations.
• Assess incoming patients and determine treatment priorities based on acuity.
• Administer medications and perform procedures according to established protocols.
• Collaborate with team members, including physicians and other healthcare professionals, to deliver comprehensive care.
• Monitor and document patient progress and responses to treatment.
• Participate in triage and assist with patient flow in the emergency department.
• Assist in managing multiple patients, ensuring quality care is maintained.
• Float among multiple locations within the designated zone as needed.

Qualifications

• Current and valid nursing license.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Experience in emergency nursing preferred.

This position involves working in an emergency department setting, providing care for patients experiencing a wide range of medical emergencies. Nurses are expected to float within the region, covering duties as necessary at various facilities.

Shift Information

• 12-hour shifts available.
• Must be available to work every other weekend and holiday.

The ER department treats an average of 6 to 49 patients per day, handling a variety of cases including but not limited to abdominal pain, diabetes management, NSTEMI, pneumonia, trauma, stroke, and hypertension.

Orientation will be provided for new hires, along with unit-specific training to ensure readiness for all responsibilities associated with this position.
