The Tax Compliance Auditor I reports to the Assistant Tax Compliance Manager. The ideal candidate is curious, detail-oriented, driven, and adaptable. This role requires excellent research and communication skills to engage with taxpayers and present data to internal and external stakeholders. Candidates should be comfortable working collaboratively, handling confrontational situations professionally, and have a passion for working with people. In addition to possessing the ability to live out our core and functional values daily, candidates must possess the following requirements: 0-1 years of specialized or technical training beyond high school or equivalent job-related experience. 2 years of customer service experience. 1 year of analytical research including but not limited to descriptive, diagnostic and predictive. 0-1 years of tax administration, local, or State Transaction Privilege Tax auditing. 0-1 years of legal interpretation of tax code, law, policies, and regulations. Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work. Licensing / Certifications Valid Arizona Driver's License; Arizona Department of Revenue Auditor Certification (preferred) This position is an At-Will position and is FLSA Exempt - ineligible for overtime compensation.
