Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM Tue 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM Wed 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM Thu 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM Fri 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, location‑specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and observe unusual conditions. Monitor access points and high‑traffic areas, assisting with visitor guidance, directional support, and reporting suspicious behavior or policy concerns. Support a professional healthcare environment by assisting with de‑escalation, following post orders, and coordinating with Allied Universal leadership and/or local responders when appropriate. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 1 year of security‑related experience. Meet hospital vaccine requirements. Work in a hospital environment that may include a morgue. Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED. Be at least 21 years of age. Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting. Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical‑related field. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
