Low Voltage Technician

Job Description Job Description About the Role A To B Communications LLC is looking for a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our team in Berlin, CT. This is a hands-on technical role where you'll play a key part in delivering reliable, high-quality communications infrastructure for our clients. If you're passionate about fiber optics, low voltage systems, and doing the job right the first time, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities Install, terminate, and test fiber optic cables (single-mode) in commercial and industrial environments Run and terminate low voltage cabling including fiber Perform OTDR testing, fiber splicing, and troubleshooting of fiber optic networks Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings on job sites Maintain tools, equipment, and job site safety standards in compliance with industry regulations Requirements 2+ years of experience in low voltage cabling and/or fiber optic installation Proficiency in fiber splicing, termination, and OTDR/light meter testing Experience with structured cabling systems (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A) and cable management Equivalent low voltage/fiber certification preferred Ability to read blueprints, floor plans, and technical documentation Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a professional work ethic Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various job site conditions About Us A To B Communications LLC is a trusted low voltage and fiber optic contractor based in Berlin, CT, dedicated to delivering seamless, end-to-end communications solutions for our clients.
