Substitute Custodian

Job Details Job Title: Substitute Custodian (non-guaranteed hours) Reports To: Facility Manager Non-exempt Pay Type: Hourly Compensation: Pay range: $17.00/hr. Benefits: For employees contracted for 30 hours per week or more, Thomas MacLaren School pays for 100% of the employee’s base insurance premiums (Health, Dental, Vision, Long-term and Short-term disability, Accidental Death and Dismemberment insurance, and Life insurance) for the base level coverages. No benefits are provided to employees contracted for less than 30 hours per week. General Purpose: Maintain the proper upkeep and cleanliness of the buildings and grounds; maintain the utility infrastructure of the school campus when called to substitute for a permanent position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform daily custodial operations including cleaning of classrooms, offices, restrooms, laboratories, stairways, corridors, closets, gymnasium, locker rooms, and lobbies Follow Universal Standard Precautions and safety protocol when appropriate Maintain the upkeep of the facility and furniture to include repairs, painting, and cleaning, including the management of waste disposal Assist the facility manager in the maintenance of the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems of the facility Perform routine and special project work on the facility and grounds (e.g., building drama set for school play) Assist with snow removal and grounds maintenance Attend all training as assigned by Facility Manager Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director This description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, or working conditions associated with this job.
