Assistant General Manager

Operations Management

• Assist in planning, organizing, and supervising daily operations.
• Ensure company policies, procedures, and standards are followed.
• Monitor service quality, cleanliness, and safety across all areas.
• Help resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.

People Leadership

• Support hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and training of staff.
• Coach and motivate employees to meet performance and service standards.
• Provide feedback, conduct or support performance reviews, and assist with disciplinary actions when needed.
• Foster a positive, supportive, and accountable team culture.

Customer/Guest Experience

• Maintain a strong presence on the floor/within the operation.
• Handle escalated customer/guest concerns and resolve complaints.
• Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality service.

Financial & Administrative

• Assist with budgeting, cost control, and revenue targets.
• Monitor key metrics (sales, labor, expenses, productivity, customer satisfaction).
• Help with inventory management, ordering, and vendor coordination.
• Complete required reports and administrative tasks accurately and on time.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Enforce security and loss-prevention policies.
• Support training on safety procedures and emergency protocols.

Leadership Support

• Act as the Manager on Duty in the General Manager’s absence.
• Contribute to operational improvements and implement new initiatives.
• Communicate clearly between staff and management.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or management experience (typically 2–4 years), preferably in [industry: e.g., hospitality/retail/restaurant/fitness].
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic financial acumen (understanding of budgets, P&L, labor control).
• Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
• Proficiency with relevant software/systems (e.g., POS, scheduling, MS Office).
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred (optional line, adjust as needed).

Work Conditions

• Flexible schedule; ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Standing/walking for extended periods; light to moderate lifting may be required (adjust to the role).
