Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Valid RN license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM Must-Have: Acute Care High Risk Labor and Delivery experience Experience with Antepartum patients Experience managing cases with pre-eclampsia and diabetes Ability to handle multiple births Experience with VBAC/TOLAC and active management of laboring patients Familiarity with induction and augmentation procedures Proficient in handling maternal emergencies Description: We are seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team. The position will require floating between units as needed. Some weekend shifts are expected. Block scheduling is not required. The expected patient ratio is 1:2 for labor and 1:3 for antepartum. Candidates should possess acute care high-risk labor and delivery experience. The facility performs 3200 deliveries per year and has a daily census of 9 deliveries. Candidates should have experience with triaging obstetrical patients. Skills in using IUPC placement and calibration are beneficial. The nurse will maintain central lines and manage anticoagulation therapy and antihypertensives. The nurse will also assist with high-risk deliveries and circulate for C-sections. Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE is required. All candidates should have a willingness to float to other facilities when necessary. References covering the last 3 years are required prior to start.
