Senior Cost Manager

Senior Cost Manager – Los Angeles, CA At CummingGroup, we are looking for a Senior Cost Manager to lead cost management efforts for a prestigious luxury hospitality client in Los Angeles. Responsibilities Review, interpret, and accurately estimate the scope of assigned work as described in the project documents. Develop and nurture sub‑contractor, vendor, and client relationships. Lead client accounts and develop relationships to ensure client satisfaction. Review and comment on contracts and participate in contract negotiation. Prepare sub‑contractor analysis sheets for assigned scope. Evaluate changes and subcontractor change order estimates and provide expertise in all phases of construction work. Perform Continuous Cost Management. Manage contract administration at the project level. Partner with management to develop new customers and grow existing customer base. Support senior management by providing reports and responding to inquiries. Mentor associate‑level cost and commercial managers. Prepare project plans. Other duties as assigned. Attend work during normal business hours. Qualifications Understanding of how the role contributes to the organization’s goals. Deliver quality work product by role‑modeling core values. Knowledge of construction technology, economics, delivery methodologies, local tax and insurance requirements, and detailed general conditions and requirements. Understanding of local construction law, measurement methods, and parametric, top‑down, and bottom‑up estimates. Working knowledge of Cumming’s roles and services and how the cost management team fits into projects. Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to multi‑task, prioritize, and work efficiently. High performance in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment. Consistent overall project management beyond task completion. Professional qualification related to the job role. Education: BS in Construction, Cost Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field. Experience: 5–8 years in Cost Management or Quantity Surveying with professional accreditation. Preferred Certifications: MRICS, AssocRICS, CCP, CEP, CPE, or equivalent. Salary & Benefits Salary range: $120,200.00 – $160,266.69 per year (base salary only).
