Clinical Concierge - Urgent Care - Full time, Days

Clinical Concierge MA/LVN – Desoto Job ID: 26005967 Location: 726 W. Belt Line rd, DeSoto, Texas 75115 (This position will float across multiple Texas Health Urgent Care Locations) Works hours: Full-Time, 3-12-hour shifts a week (rotating days, weekends and holidays), 7:45 AM - 8:15 PM. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of a Medical Assistant education program (Certified or Registered Medical Assistant) or a Vocational Nurse program. At least 6 months of previous healthcare facility clinical experience as a LVN, MA, CNA, or other patient care experience, or completion of an internal THR MA externship training program. Previous experience with an electronic health record preferred. Certified or Registered Medical Assistant if not completed a Medical Assistant education program. Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)—State of Texas license required upon hire if LVN. BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support maintained every 2 years and required prior to providing independent patient care, to be completed within 30 days of hire. THR Urine Drug Collector training (maintained every 5 years) required prior to providing independent care, to be completed within 30 days of hire. Responsibilities Guide consumers and secondary guests through the entire urgent care visit to enhance the consumer experience. Support the provider with care and treatment, laboratory testing, and related duties. Perform patient registration, collection of payments, rooming, and patient discharge. Maintain competency and perform in all assigned positions on a rotating basis. Collect identification and payor-related documentation; conduct registration using EPIC workflow. Measure and document vitals: temperature, pulse, oxygen saturation, respiration, blood pressure, height, weight, and pain level, and communicate results to consumer and provider. Document chief complaint, allergies, health history, and current medications accurately in EPIC. Perform and document laboratory testing and collections per provider orders, including venipuncture with competency check‑off. Administer and document oral and intramuscular medication using the appropriate medication verification workflow. Assist provider with procedures such as maintaining sterile field, laceration repair, I&D, and application of orthopedic goods and glasses. Behave professionally and empathetically to build trust and comfort with consumers and secondary guests. Greet consumers and secondary guests, inquire about the purpose and nature of the visit, and provide personal introduction. Recognize and notify provider of emergent patients, perform BLS, provide oxygen administration, and assist with emergency care. Schedule primary care referrals for consumers. Maintain office supplies, medical supplies, and medications at appropriate par levels. Perform quality checks throughout the facility per established policies and procedures.
