Credit Balance Specialist

Analyzing credit balances to determine their cause, the full-time remote Credit Balance Specialist will facilitate account resolution and post refunds while ensuring adherence to best practice methodologies. Key responsibilities Analyze insurance and patient payments to identify causes of credit balances and facilitate refunds Utilize software and reporting tools to monitor credit balances and ensure compliance with hospital policies Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve outstanding account issues and improve internal processes Required qualifications 2 years or more experience in reimbursement and/or accounts receivable in a healthcare setting Basic knowledge of business office terminology and the full revenue cycle process Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and AS400 Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally High-speed internet access and a smartphone for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
