Description

American Traveler is hiring a Sonographer for MFM/High Risk imaging, requiring RDMS-OB/GYN certification and strong OBGYN scanning skills.

Details

• Acute care clinic setting within Radiology - Sonographer MFM/High Risk department
• Two scanners available in the office
• Performs BPP, growth, and dating studies
• Averages 8-10 scans/studies per day
• No floating to other departments required
• Uses GE equipment, EPIC, and Viewpoint systems
• Monday through Friday, 0800-1630 schedule
• No weekends, holidays, or call requirements

Requirements

• BLS certification (AHA)
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer OB/GYN (RDMS-OB/GYN) via ARDMS required
• OBGYN certification through ARDMS preferred
• License required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of experience preferred, though negotiable for candidates able to perform MFM scans
• Strong OBGYN scanning skills required
• Nuchal translucency experience required
• MFM experience preferred
• Must be capable of working independently
• Experience with EPIC and Viewpoint systems needed

Additional Information

• Reports to Clinic Manager and coordinates with MFM team
• No in-house radiologist; MFM specialists available for consultation
• Does not require IV starts
• No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRAs) used in this role
• Orientation includes shadowing with a full-time tech to learn department workflows
• Black scrubs are provided
• Local candidates are not accepted; radius rules apply based on facility
