GSE SupervisorMon-Fri 7:00 AM - 4:00 PMSalary: $66,560 to $72,800Summary OverviewThe GSE Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and maintenance of ground support equipment. This role involves managing a team of technicians and staff, ensuring that all equipment is operational, safe, and meets regulatory standards. You will coordinate equipment maintenance schedules, respond to operational needs, and assist in training and development of staff. You will also ensure compliance with safety protocols, manage inventory, and collaborate with other departments to support efficient airport operations.ResponsibilitiesSupervise the daily operations of the ground support and equipment departmentLead and manage a team of ground support staff and techniciansCoordinate and schedule maintenance and repair activities for ground support equipmentEnsure adherence to safety regulations and company policies among team membersConduct regular inspections of equipment to maintain operational standards and safetyTrain new staff in operational procedures and safety protocolsMonitor the performance of team members and provide feedback and coachingManage inventory of parts and supplies, ensuring availability for maintenance tasksCollaborate with other airport departments to ensure coordinated support servicesRespond to operational issues and emergencies, implementing effective solutionsMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, employee performance, and inventory levelsParticipate in budgeting and cost-control activities for the departmentCommunicate effectively with team members, management, and external stakeholdersStay updated on industry best practices and innovations in ground support operationsFoster a team-oriented environment that emphasizes quality service and continuous improvementExemplify PrimeFlight customer service and safety standardsPerform any additional duties as assigned by managementQualifications18 years of age or olderMust be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.Must hold a valid driver's license.Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)2 years of experience in supervising teams in an operational or maintenance environment, preferably in aviationStrong understanding of mechanical systems and maintenance proceduresExcellent leadership, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentAbility to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile DevicesEffectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic meansPass a background check and drug screenEligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable).Airports are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidaysPhysical Activity/Working Conditions May Include:Ability to lift up to 70 poundsProlonged standing and walking in an indoor/outdoor environment as applicableMust be able to reach with arms and grasp with handsMust be able to push, pullMust be able to crawl and crouch, at times, in confined tight spacesMust be able to bend, stretch, squat, kneelMust be able to climb and work at elevated heightsExposure to moderate and at times high noise levelsExposure to Biohazards and/or ChemicalsExposure to outdoor elementsBe able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarmsTasks may involve repetitive motions of the arms, wrists, hands and/or fingersSpecific vision abilities required for this job include: Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)The pay rate listed on this post is what the company reasonably expects to pay for this position.
