UChange Home Care is seeking a dependable and compassionate Female Spanish-Speaking Personal Care Assistant (PCA) / Caregiver to provide in-home support to seniors and individuals with disabilities in Chicago, Illinois, and surrounding communities. Since 2009, UChange Home Care has proudly delivered quality, in-home care to clients who value consistency, respect, and trust. This role is well-suited to someone who is reliable, patient, and able to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish, particularly with clients and families who prefer or require Spanish-language communication.

Job Location: Chicago, Illinois, and surrounding areas

Employment Type: Part-Time

Hours: Approximately 20–30 hours per week, depending on client needs and availability

Pay: Starting at $17.00 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and client needs

Shift options may include mornings, days, afternoons, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays, with some after-school scheduling opportunities depending on client assignments. Preferred days, available hours, and preferred work areas can be discussed to help identify a schedule that fits your availability.

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Providing mobility assistance and safe transfers when required
• Offering companionship and emotional support
• Preparing meals and assisting with meal-related activities
• Performing light housekeeping and maintaining a clean, comfortable environment
• Assisting with daily routines and personal care needs
• Providing medication reminders when applicable and permitted within assigned responsibilities
• Communicating respectfully and effectively with clients and their families, including in Spanish when needed
• Using a mobile device or approved system to clock in and out and document services provided
• Following the client's care plan and agency policies
• Communicating changes or concerns to the office promptly
• Maintaining dependable attendance, punctuality, and professional conduct

Qualifications

• Ability to speak and communicate in Spanish
• At least 1 year of caregiving, personal care, or home care experience preferred
• CNA or HHA certification preferred, but not required for every position
• Willingness to complete required training and onboarding
• Reliable transportation when required for the assigned client
• Valid driver's license and automobile insurance when driving is required
• Reliable smartphone for communication, scheduling, electronic visit verification, and care documentation
• Authorization to work in the United States
• Ability to successfully complete required background screening and other applicable pre-employment requirements
