College Works Internship

College Works provides college and university students a unique, life-transforming opportunity to build business management and leadership skills, hands-on. The internship empowers students to run their own local businesses, manage their own crew of people, and provide a much-needed service within their communities while earning money as well as invaluable experience. Interns not only gain valuable work experience but can earn great money to help finance their college education as well.

Primary Job Responsibilities Include:

• Building a marketing plan
• Conducting sales meetings with clients
• Managing small business local PR and social media
• Interviewing and hiring laborers
• Budgeting and cost management
• Customer service and quality control of painting crews

Part time commitment in spring semester and full time in summer. Your primary duty is to sell painting service contracts during the entire season. You will regularly make field sales calls and visits throughout the entire season to potential customers in an effort to obtain sales orders and contracts.

• Leadership skills
• Resourceful problem solving abilities
• Highly evolved customer service skills
• Professionalism is very important
• Ideally have worked over 30 hours a week in the past 2-3 years of work experience is preferred

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have a car and valid driver's license

Pay: Base plus commission. Expected pay range is $6,000 $60,000.

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to feel and handle, reach with arms and hands, see, talk, and hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may incidentally be required to stoop, kneel, and crouch, lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 25 pounds.
