Steel Welder
Now Hiring! A Steel Welder is responsible for fabricating and assembling steel components by welding according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Steel Welder — Perform MIG, TIG, or stick welding on structural and fabricated steel components. Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and shop drawings. Measure, cut, fit, tack, and weld steel parts accurately. Operate welding machines, grinders, cutting equipment, and other fabrication tools. Inspect completed welds for strength, quality, and appearance. Grind and finish welds as required. Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean work area. Perform routine equipment inspections and report defects or maintenance needs. Work with supervisors and other fabricators to meet production schedules. Follow company quality standards and welding specifications.
Qualifications Previous steel welding or fabrication experience preferred. Ability to read blueprints and measurements. Proficiency with MIG welding; additional TIG or stick experience is a plus. Ability to lift and handle heavy steel materials. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
