Registered Nurse (RN) - Nurse Resident, September 2026, Medical/Surgical Nursing

Role Overview The Nurse Residency Program is designed for graduate nurses to develop their clinical skills under supervision, completing core curriculum, professional development workshops, and clinical competencies. Responsibilities Collecting patient data, developing care plans, administering treatments, and documenting care while adhering to organizational policies. The role involves collaborating with healthcare team members, prioritizing patient needs, and ensuring safe, ethical, and effective care delivery. Graduate nurses will perform nursing assessments, advocate for patients, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Delegation and cost‑effective practices are emphasized, with active involvement in managing clinical situations and unit problems. Qualifications & Skills Associate degree in Nursing; Bachelor's preferred. No prior experience required; candidates with over 12 months are ineligible. Current RN license or provisional/graduate license with NCLEX testing in progress. Must hold a valid RN license recognized in the practicing state. Basic understanding of nursing standards and patient care practices is expected. Additional Information Performs under supervision of licensed RNs and reports to a supervisor or manager. Participates in professional development, clinical skills training, and quality initiatives.
