Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner

Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner to join our established Immediate Care team at our Ridge Road location in Channahon. You'll care for patients of all ages, treat a broad range of illnesses and injuries, and help ensure families throughout our growing communities have access to high-quality care close to home.

Your Impact

• Provide timely, patient-centered care for patients of all ages
• Evaluate and treat a broad range of acute illnesses and minor injuries
• Perform common urgent care procedures including suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and foreign body removal
• Help patients receive the right level of care close to home while reducing unnecessary Emergency Department visits
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and hospital-based specialists to provide coordinated care

Schedule & Scope

• Full-time Immediate Care position at our Ridge Road location in Channahon
• Every-other-weekend rotation required
• No call responsibilities
• Care for patients across the lifespan in a fast-paced, procedure-oriented setting
• On-site laboratory and X-ray services
• Access to advanced imaging, Emergency Medicine, Radiology, and specialty services throughout the Morris Hospital system
• Occupational Medicine services are part of the practice

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner
• Eligible for Illinois APRN licensure
• DEA certification or eligibility
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• DOT certification required prior to start
• Comfortable with suturing and common urgent care procedures
• Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, or similar acute care experience preferred
