Temporary Faculty - Non-Credit [Remote]

We are looking for experienced educators with a track record of collaborating with other educators, who display a serious willingness to learn and are both flexible and resourceful. Candidates must also have a working knowledge of virtual communication technology tools and be willing to learn and use online applications as an essential piece of this work. ASMP mentors are non-evaluative teacher guides who work with educators throughout Alaska.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Have a minimum of five (5) years’ Alaska teaching experience (2 years of rural experience preferable)
2. Have (and maintain) a current Alaska teaching certificate
3. Be fully released from school district obligations
4. Be willing to travel to remote/rural Alaska, i.e.
5. Attend monthly online and quarterly online or in-person training (in Anchorage or Fairbanks)

Position Details:

This position is located on the Troth Yeddha campus in Fairbanks, and flexible on-site/hybrid work arrangements may be considered in accordance with UA regulations. This is part-time, non-exempt temporary position. New hires will receive a salary based on education and experience.
