Feature Systems Engineer

Role Feature Systems Engineer – Auburn Hills, Michigan Job Description Responsibilities Create, update and track Customer Feature Objectives (CFOs) efficiently. Conduct thorough analysis to ensure all CFOs align with project objectives and standards. Work with cross‑functional teams to develop and follow best practices for a global strategy on new features. Conduct competitive benchmarking and voice‑of‑customer clinics to support the development process. Support platform new feature development. Support program‑specific new feature development. Qualifications Basic Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Software, or Systems Engineering (or equivalent) from an ABET‑accredited university. 3 to 5 years of automotive experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical content to a non‑technical audience. Good project coordination skills. Automotive Systems background. Knowledge of ISO 26262. Ability to interpret various regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Knowledge of INCOSE requirements decomposition. Preferred Qualifications Master of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, or Software Engineering (or equivalent) from an ABET‑accredited university. Knowledge of IBM DOORS or similar ALM/PLM management tools. Systems Engineering experience. Experience with system network topology diagrams. Ability to understand problems from all aspects (software, hardware, field). Knowledge of a functional domain (e.g., Body, Chassis, Electrical, Interior).
