Lead Machine Operations

Machine LeadThe Machine Lead will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating Press Operations, leading a team of machine operators, and contributing to the continuous improvement of production processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication operation processes (Automation, Indexing, and Transfer Systems), leadership abilities, and a commitment to ensuring high-quality production.Position Responsibilities may include:Lead a team of machine operators, assign tasks, and monitor performance to achieve production goals.Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure the production of high-quality machined components.Oversee the setup, programming, and maintenance of Press equipment to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.Train new machine operators and provide ongoing training to existing team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for the operations team.Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and increased efficiency in Fabrication Operations.Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and quality assurance, to address production challenges and meet organizational goals.Participate in additional projects/activities as needed.Nature & Scope:Oversees a group of employees and ensures job is done correctlyProvides daily objectivesGuides team at task level to ensure company goals are metIs recognized as an expert in own area within a departmentProvides mentoring and training for new employeesKnowledge & Skills:Proficient in operating and programming Presses, knowledge of various fabrication operations processes, and familiarity with relevant software.Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team to achieve production targets.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address challenges in fabrication operations.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to coordinate with team members and other departments.Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.In addition, perform any other jobs / task assigned by Management.Experience: 3 plus years of Fabrication Operations experienceEducation/Certification: High School diploma required along with in-house training: LOTO–Affected, Overhead Crane, Electric Push/Pull Cart, Phase1 Die Setter, Advanced Blueprint Reading, Automation Class & Audit where Applicable, FPI & LPI where Applicable.People Management: NoPhysical Requirements / Work Environment: Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations.Reports To: Supervisor, ManufacturingQualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States.
