Payroll Specialist/HR Generalist

Ledgent Finance & Accounting is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Payroll Specialist/HR Generalist to join their team in Avondale, Arizona. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can manage both payroll processes and general HR functions seamlessly. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute significantly to the organization's HR operations. Salary: $62,000 – $65,000 annually Key Responsibilities: Process end-to-end payroll, including timekeeping, wage calculations, deductions, and reporting. Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Respond to employee questions regarding pay, benefits, and HR policies. Support recruiting efforts, including job postings, candidate coordination, and onboarding. Assist with benefits administration and maintain accurate employee records. Partner with finance to reconcile payroll and resolve discrepancies. Contribute to HR policies, employee relations, and performance management support. Assist with purchase order receiving and ERP data entry. Qualifications: 2+ years of payroll and general HR experience. Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance requirements. Experience with payroll/HRIS platforms such as ADP or Paylocity. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with benefits administration and multi-state payroll. Knowledge of payroll taxes, audits, and filings. Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
