Field Service Engineer - BESS

The Harry James Group are working in partnership with an energy storage solutions provider who are currently expanding due to current and new projects secured. The position of Field Service Engineer will be part the growing team delivering exceptional results. The applicant should have a solid understanding of fundamental electrical engineering, transformers, inverters and troubleshooting electrical components. Responsibilities Perform field service activities according to the agreement needs and work plan. Support on commission of stationary battery energy storage systems and related equipment. Solve technical and operational problems at our customer installations as well as report and propose product improvement needs to reach quality and cost targets and ensure customer satisfaction. Manage and maintain good relationships with the customer. Prepare and present analytical reports with adequate conclusions and recommendations for how to solve technical problems of the customer as required. Participate in customer meetings as local technical advisor when needed. Create service work reports and other relevant documentation related to site or customer visits. Be able to travel to our customer facilities for service attendance within Canada, US and the Caribbean. Be on service jobs about 50% minimum of the year Experience & Education Masters’ or Bachelors’ degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience 2-4 years’ experience with energy storage systems and/or renewable energy, power systems design and communication networks Understanding and knowledge would be advantageous in PV Systems OPC systems Variable frequency drives Battery and inverter technology Windows server and UNIX/LINUX PLC systems Industrial networks and protocols (Modbus TCP, Profibus, CAN-bus, CIP, ethernet/IP, ControlNET, etc.) Advance programming of firewalls and routers Protection relays Familiar with NEMA and IP enclosure designs Interested, APPLY NOW! #J-18808-Ljbffr Harry James Group
