Registered Nurse - TelemetryUnit has both med-surg and telemetry patients. Charge nurse generally does not take patients but may provide break relief. Nurse aides are available as necessary based on census and staffing. Weekend requirement is every other weekend. Holidays are rotated among core staff. Scrub color must be navy, and undershirts can be navy, white, or black. Telemetry skills are required for reading and interpreting EKG strips. No ventilator management is expected. A clientist or intensivist is in-house. Respiratory therapy is available 24/7. Pharmacy services are also available 24/7. Shifts are 12 hours long. Shift starts at 6:45 AM, with report taking place at the bedside. Extra shifts may be available based on needs. Self-scheduling will occur, but the manager finalizes it. Schedules are available for review four weeks in advance. Travelers can access their schedules from home and arrange extra shifts with staff. Floating to med-surg and telemetry is expected. Flexibility as a team member is essential. Charge RN rounds with an interdisciplinary team. COVID vaccination requirements include medical and religious declination options. Cancellation policy allows for a limited number of shifts to be canceled by the facility during the assignment. Charting will be done using the specified system. BSN is not required for application.
