Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Tele unit position requiring at least 2 years of RN experience and prior travel nursing experience, working night shifts in a hospital setting.

Details

• Med/Surg Tele unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) with alternating or straight 4x12-hour shifts also considered
• Patient ratios of up to 6:1
• Floating to other Med/Surg/Tele units is required

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience strongly required
• 2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• The facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, which includes marijuana; a positive result results in automatic cancellation with no exceptions
• Candidates should avoid any substances that could cause a positive drug screen result prior to arrival, including CBD products
