Corporate Controller

A well respected CPA firm in the area is searching for a Tax Partner or Tax Principal to help guide the future of the tax practice for the company. Executive level compensation package will be provided based on experience and the firm is willing to purchase a book of business if need be. Key Responsibilities Client Advisory & Strategy: Serve as a trusted senior advisor providing advanced tax planning, compliance oversight, and transaction structuring. Business Development: Generate new business, expand existing client portfolios, and contribute to overall practice expansion. Practice Leadership: Oversee engagement economics, including billing, collection, and profitability, while ensuring high technical standards. Team Mentorship: Lead, train, and develop staff, senior managers, and emerging tax professionals. [1, 2] Qualifications & Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; advanced degrees such as a Master's in Taxation (MST), MBA, LL.M., or J.D. are frequently required or preferred. Certifications: Current Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, attorney admission, or IRS Enrolled Agent status. Experience: 10 to 15+ years of progressive public accounting, corporate tax, or law firm experience, with specialized expertise often needed in areas like M&A, pass-through entities, or high-net-worth clients.
