Medical Assistant/Certified Nursing AssistantWe are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant (MA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support our providers and enhance the patient experience. Our healthcare facility is seeking a reliable professional to perform a variety of clinical and administrative duties that contribute to the efficient operation of our practice. The Medical Assistant/CNA will work directly with healthcare staff to collect test samples, maintain patient records, educate patients on common medical procedures, and assist with basic examinations.Key ResponsibilitiesUpdate and maintain all electronic medical records in EPICRecord patient information such as vital signs, EKGS, weight and changes in medical history prior to each appointmentClean and prepare examination rooms prior to patient appointmentsWork in the front office, performing tasks such as answering phone calls and greeting patients as they enter the facilityScheduling appointments for patientsPoint of care testing (examples: Urinalysis; Strep Throat Swab samples; Blood Glucose; Pregnancy Tests)Assist with provider exams (set up for pap smears, wound care)Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma/GED required. Certificate of graduation from an accredited school for Medical Assistants or certification as a Nursing Assistant from the State of Connecticut Department of Health is required. Phlebotomy Certification (National Phlebotomy Association or National Healthcare Association) is preferred.
