Lead Software Engineer
Remote / Hybrid
A client of ours is seeking a Lead Software Engineer, where you'll help shape the future of enterprise software platforms while remaining hands-on with architecture and development. This role is ideal for a senior technical leader who enjoys solving complex challenges, influencing engineering direction, and mentoring teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical strategy and architectural decisions for large-scale applications
- Design scalable solutions across cloud, application, and data environments
- Guide engineering teams on software design, development standards, and delivery practices
- Drive improvements in system performance, reliability, and scalability
- Collaborate with product, infrastructure, and business teams on key initiatives
- Mentor engineers and promote technical excellence across the organization
Qualifications
- Extensive experience building and scaling enterprise software platforms
- Strong background with Java-based technologies; .NET exposure is a plus
- Experience with cloud platforms, APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
- Knowledge of modern DevOps and automated deployment practices
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience in healthcare, finance, supply chain, or other complex business environments is a plus
